ICA Pittsburgh’s Temporary Project Space Opens on October 22nd

Introducing “Office Hours” at ICA Temporary Project Space

While our new permanent space in the Richard King Mellon Hall of Sciences doesn’t open until Spring 2028, our curatorial and community programming starts this Fall with our first Office Hours at ICA Temporary Project Space.

Office Hours is a recurring series of “open house” days when we welcome the community into our current home, free of charge, to meet our staff, learn about the future of ICA Pittsburgh, and engage with our first exhibitions — starting with Lenka Clayton’s Collective Biography, Pittsburgh, 2026, a new participatory public artwork and our first major commission.

ICA Temporary Project Space sits within the historic GATF Building at 4615 Forbes Avenue, and our inaugural Office Hours will take place during Carnegie Mellon University’s Homecoming celebrations Thursday and Friday, October 22-23, 2026 and the following weekend during the Pittsburgh Art Book Fair.

There is no fee to attend Office Hours and no reservation is required. For any questions, please contact us at icapgh@cmu.edu.
